The Fish Crow is a close relative of the common American Crow adapted to coastal habitat. They are almost impossible to tell apart by sight, but the Fish Crow's weak, nasal "wah wah" call easily gives it away. Fish Crows are also more likely than common crows to have a slight hook at the tip of the bill, as this one has, though it's not a clinching feature. Photographed at Pea Island Wildlife Refuge.
