Looks like those Canadian cows are pretty hairy. Is that for protection from the cold? I would call that one a "Shaggy Cow"!

It's a Scottish breed called Highland, known for their shaggy fur and for long horns even on the females. Originally bred in the mountains, thus their name and their extra insulation against the cold. I don't see them often, but this farm had some. They're a good match to our Canadian climate!
