This bird is a common sight in Ottawa in fall migration. Like most sandpipers,
it nests in tundra and boreal forest, well north of us.

The frog is my favorite of these; the diagonals in the composition and the
very limited palette make it quite striking.
I really like the reflection in the yellowlegs picture, too.
