A pair of these hawks was nesting in an old dead tree near an estuary, where they could hunt for their favorite food, crabs. Whenever I walked by their nest tree, one of them would usually do a quick fly-by to check me out. Photographed in Quepos, Costa Rica near Pueblo Real resort.
