The OWL3 is based on the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary (OSPD) which can be bought in stores, but there are a few differences:
Please note: A separate dictionary, Collins Scrabble Words (CSW), is used for European tournament play. There are a number of differences between CSW and the North American dictionary. On the Scrabble Challenge, CSW-only words like "ch" will not play.
For more information on the various dictionaries, read the Scrabble FAQ.
